Coming towards the end of the first block for FMP, I am a bit apprehensive that my body of work is not captured at this point. Ideally going into the second part of FMP I just wanted to focus on the edit and design of a publication. Its ok though I’m not taking a break over Easter holidays and will continue to work on my project, I have a few days off from work so hopefully the weather will be kind to me.
I have contacted the Project Officer for more information on the exhibition for Living Legacies Digital Centenaries (21st May) and she replied with a floor plan and some other bits of info. I already know the venue pretty well, so have an idea of space and the Project Officer said she would get in touch in a few weeks to discuss individual requirements.
I also registered my interest with Belfast Festival Portfolio Reviews happening on the 7th June. I figure after engagement with audiences at the Living Legacies exhibition, I can take any feedback/ideas for my work and then have another review and opportunity to network at the portfolio review. Reviewers I have chosen are Trish Lambe curator for Gallery of Photography (Ireland) and Deirdre Robb, Chief Executive for Belfast Exposed.
I have a photo shoot planned for this week, which I will stay over in accommodation as so I catch a sunrise. I will be returning to Greencastle ‘The Control Tower’ and I hope I can get this one under my belt. I will also be there for sunset to maximise my success with capturing something I am happy with, I will be taking digital and large format with me.
