FMP – Week Thirteen

Not much development for this week, I was not here for the weekend and for the rest of the week it rained so no new imagery took place. I processed the film from the Greencastle shoot and reloaded film. I scanned the film in and I am beginning to have doubts about using film. The ways in which I am processing the negatives are causing a lot of scratches onto the neg and I am still taking quite a lot of the image up when sticking it to the leader. From shoot to shoot it is difficult to get the film ready/processed in time. If I had more time it would be possible to shoot with large format but with time running out I might just stick to digital. I will still shoot with this camera where I can but I won’t let it hold me up when the weather is good and I need to get to location.

For the next couple of weeks I will plan to return to the Ulster Aviation Society (UAS) Museum and visit War Memorial NI. In the UAS hangar they have an exhibition room that features items that relate to WW2 aviation, I have seen it before but this was at the very start of the MA. I hope I will find some texts or items that will inspire or contextualise my work. I also need to seek permission to shoot the hangars around sunset time. I haven’t been to the War Memorial NI Museum yet so again who knows what I will find that will help to contextualise my work. Although a museum I enquire about exhibiting my work and try to network with the education department.
